"Perfume The Story of a Murderer" poster redesign
This project was a part of my admission portfolio for the Graphic Design MA degree at METU.
I wanted to redesign posters for one of my favourite movies Perfume: The Story of a Murderer. The three posters focus on the naked figures of the murdered women who are at the centre of the story. Their bodies, separated from space or time, cannot break free from the killer, represented in the background colours. Blue for his frock, yellow for depravity, beige for his desire to be truly human.
My intentions for the design was to steer it into the direction of what an art-house movie poster might look like, hint towards more serious artistic work rather than popular entertainment.
